Founder; flute and piano lessons; general music lessons for kids from 4 year old.
Hi! My name is Anastasia. I moved to IJburg with my family in 2020, while I was still studying at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
I started teaching young children back in 2012. I was very young myself—but I loved it immediately, and I never really stopped. Over the years, I’ve developed a strong focus on building a good ear, coordination between senses, and a relaxed, controlled body. These are the foundations that allow music to feel natural rather than forced. And from there, we discover music as an expressive art.
The idea of the studio came quite simply. I always wanted a home filled with music—and one day, when I tried to sign up my (then 5-year-old) son for lessons, I realised I wanted to build that environment myself.

Juf Anastasia
Working with young children is something I deeply care about. I like to think long-term: that in 20 years, the children I teach today will carry music with them in their lives—and maybe even invite someone to a concert instead of just going out for dinner.
At the same time, I value working with adults just as much. The process is often similar: learning to release tension, to coordinate, to listen. But the context is different—many adults come in with stress, habits, or doubts. And when, after a few months, they play with ease and confidence, that shift is something I find genuinely meaningful.
If this resonates with you, you’re very welcome to come by - or to bring your child - to a trial lesson.
Anastasia works on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; she teaches flute, piano and general music lessons, and speaks French, English and Dutch.
Violin en piano lessons; musuc lessons for kids from 4 y/o; also at student's location.
You could say that I have been surrounded by music from the very beginning—I grew up in a family where both of my parents are musicians.
As a child, I often watched them teach. Maybe that’s where it started: I gave my first lessons at the age of 12, and I’ve now been teaching for more than 10 years.
In my lessons, I work with both violin and piano, often combining elements from classical repertoire, early music and folklore. With young children especially, I enjoy creating a small “world” in which they can explore music—through stories, imagination, and very concrete musical tasks.

For me, music is not only about playing the right notes. It is also a way to understand and express emotions, and to develop attention and sensitivity. These are things that stay with you beyond the lesson itself.
I believe that learning music shapes something essential in a person—and I try to make that process both structured and alive.
Lisa works on Tuesdays and Thursdays; she teaches violin and piano (including Dutch-speaking beginners), and speaks English, Latvian, Dutch and Russian.
My name is Matvey, I am a pianist based in IJburg and currently studying at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
I come from a Russian piano tradition, where a strong technical foundation is built from the very beginning. At the same time, my studies in Amsterdam have shown me how important it is to adapt this foundation to each individual student.
In my teaching, I focus not only on what to practice, but on how to practice. Real progress happens between lessons, and one of my main goals is to help students become independent—so that they understand their own learning process and can move forward with confidence.
Alongside the core repertoire, I like to introduce elements of modern and avant-garde music. Even briefly, this can change how you hear, think, and approach sound.
Matvey works on Wednesdays and Saturdays; he speaks English and Russian.

Hi, I’m Elizabeth! (I am also known by many nicknames: Liz, Lizzie, Eliz - you can choose!)
I come from Singapore and currently study at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I started learning piano at the age of 7, and since then my curiosity for music has only grown.
As a teacher, I’m very aware of how much impact a good learning environment can have. My goal is to build that environment for each student—one where they feel both guided and free to explore.
With children, I like to use imagination as a learning tool: we work through games, stories and images that help musical ideas become clear and memorable. With teenagers and adults, the focus shifts more towards understanding, interpretation, and building a personal connection to the music.
For me, music is something that already exists within each person. My role is to help bring it out, step by step. Shall we discover that together?
Elizabeth works on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays; she teaches piano (including advanced levels), and has exceptionally good contact with teenagers. She speaks English.

Hi, I'm Apollon!
I come from Cyprus and I am currently studying piano at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. My first contact with music was quite simple: my older brother was playing on an old keyboard at home, and I wanted to try it too. From there, things gradually became more serious, and I later also studied violin alongside piano.
Teaching, for me, is a way to share something that is both structured and creative. In piano lessons, I guide students through a wide range of repertoire—from classical music to pop and film music—while also introducing improvisation as a way to explore sound more freely.
I try to adapt to each student: some need clear structure, others need more space to experiment. Ideally, lessons combine both—so that technique and expression develop together.
Apollon works on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays; he teaches piano (including advanced levels) in the Erich Salomonstraat studio and at students’ homes, and speaks English, Greek and German.
